Adele and Sil’s Rickety Bridge Wedding

We recently shot this lovely Rickety Bridge Wedding on the gorgeous wine estate just outside the town of Franschhoek.   Rickety Bridge is just under an hour’s drive from Cape Town, and the estate is one of the many beautiful wedding venues in the Franschhoek valley.

Adele and Silvester came all the way from the Netherlands for their Cape Town wedding.  Adele is originally from South Africa, but a handsome lad from the Netherlands stole her heart.  They had actually planned their wedding a while back, but a certain bump, which is now a gorgeous little boy interfered with their plans.  As fate would have it, when they gave the wedding plans a second attempt, another little bump got in the way.  This time around, there was not stopping them.  They were getting married!

This intimate Rickety Bridge Wedding saw two families from across the globe unite.  How fortunate Silvester was to have handful of his closest family and friends come over from the Netherlands for this special wedding day.

The legal aspects had already been settled before the wedding day and two of the couple’s friends led the ceremony.  There were some lovely traditions that involved everyone present and added to the intimacy of the day.  The beautiful wedding ceremony took place on the lawn, under the gable of the manor house, overlooking the vineyards.  The weather was perfect, and we are sure that family and friends will remember Adele and Sil’s beautiful Rickety Bridge Wedding day for many years to come!

Guests enjoyed canapés and drinks on the lawn.  After a lovely group photo on the steps of the manor house, we snuck off for the couple shoot.  Adele looked so beautiful, and it was such an honour for us to capture the tenderness between these two gorgeous people.  Such a special shoot, as we know we were not only capturing the couple, but a precious baby bump too!

The wedding reception was a whole lot of fun!  It was such a festive celebration and when it was time to go, we left with happy hearts.  Adele and Silvester’s Rickety Bridge wedding was all a wedding should be.  Filled with love, laughter and special moments.

What we’ll always remember about their wedding day

  • The moment Adele put on her wedding dress.  She looked so perfect and complete.
  • The beautiful wedding ceremony with personalized vows, special messages from friends and stolen glances.
  • A really fun wedding reception
  • One fabulous dj.  It’s not often you stay over your contract time because you are enjoying the music so!
