Alphen Family photoshoot

The Rawoot family

For this Alphen family photoshoot we met up with the Rawoot family one Sunday morning in December.  We’d had to postpone our previous shoot due to rain and little people being unwell, but glad we still got the chance to do the shoot before the end of the year!

We met Nafisa’s lovely family when we shot her sister’s wedding a little while ago.  Then they were only 3, and now their little family has grown.   Little Raaid is the latest addition.

The Rawoot family wanted a nice natural back drop with greenery, so we decided on the Alphen trail for their family photo shoot.  Well, to be honest, we cheated a little, we did not do the whole trail, we just went a few metres in.

Family shoots are probably the most difficult of the lot!  You hardly ever get everyone looking at the camera at the same time, the kids are temperamental and they have the concentration of a firefly.  It definitely keeps you on your toes!   Luckily clever mom and dad brought along a few props to keep the little ones entertained during our Alphen family photoshoot.

We’re always amazed at the amount of “stuff” parents have to lug along when they get in the car for a family outing!  Makes carrying photography gear look like a walk in the park!

It’s always interesting to see how little people’s personalities develop.  Big brother, Dayyaan is the serious one.  Apparently he is a real home body.   Little Raaid is definitely in the exploring stage, and was quite happy to rummage around in the grass and experience the outdoor vibe.  There were quite a few funny moments – especially when large (and small) dogs came to see what we were up to!  Mommy Nafisa is not too much of a dog fan – hee hee!

Thank you so much to Nafisa, Yaseen, Dayyaan and Raaid  for allowing us a little glimpse into your lives.  It was so much fun spending time with you during your Alphen family photoshoot!

All the best for 2018!
